Welcome to the 4th Annual Texas College Diversity Summit
If you are interested or have a passion for diversity and inclusion amongst college students, this event is for you! We assist in leadership development among college students and are committed to supporting these individuals through events and activities that promote cultural and individual diversity. By facilitating and enhancing communication, the College Diversity Summit promotes a multiracial, multiethnic and multicultural society through diversity dialogues and experiences. Be an advocate for diversity and inclusion amongst college students by participating, learning and sharing your knowledge and experiences.
Who Should Attend
Undergraduate college students from Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas and Oklahoma, who want to:
- Make equity the cornerstone of their thoughts, actions and lives.
- Encourage contributions to the community by ensuring full representation
- Honor the uniqueness of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Create and provide intercultural and cross-cultural opportunities and experiences.
- Cultivate skill sets needed to discuss and deal with complex race/ethnicity, issues, about which we deeply disagree, including the current existence of discrimination in our society.
- Prepare themselves for a transition from college to career.
Registration
Any undergraduate college student is eligible to attend. To register, click here. There is a $150 fee to participate.
Event Day Student Coaches/Facilitators
Each student will have the opportunity to participate during discussions and presentations, in a small group setting, with leaders from elite organizations across the great state of Texas.
Mission
The mission is to foster leadership among college/university students and to enhance communication and functioning in a multiracial, multiethnic and multicultural society through diversity dialogues and experiences.
